About Us

"Meows like Cat" is a cat destination of homespun cat storytelling, a collection of true stories, some in verse. Includes tips and articles reflecting the delights of sharing home with a feline. We are a celebration of the bonds with the feline spirit. It is our theme to be a cat's place of discovery, reflection and renewal.

We celebrate the cat, and regard cats as angelic souls. Our heart intends to be light, our spirit free and our soul to soar. We are direly aware that in the scheme of life, one thing never changes, the reality that many cats drift seeking food, a haven to rest, and a home of their own. In a pure world, every cat would have a loving, responsible home. Each cat has some endearing trait that when nurtured, will make them truly shine, as will their human spirit counterpart.

Dannie Melancon writes cat stories, cat tips, and excerpts of verse and life expressions.

She grew up around animals and the bonds of loving them. Her first cat story, she penciled at a young age, the recall of the bond and loss of a beloved pet. "In all seasons, there is a time of discovery, renewal, and loss. And such, is bittersweet."

Dannie resides in Florida, with her husband, Rob and a cat named, Cloe.
